Wellness exams are done annually or biannually in order to establish a healthy foundation of information specific to your pet. They are also a great way to detect and treat abnormalities sooner as well as routinely monitor your pet(s) over time.
A wellness exam includes:
- A complete physical exam
- Vaccination(s) – as determined by you and your veterinarian and influenced by your pet’s lifestyle and age
- Heartworm and tick disease screening
- Intestinal parasite screening
- Screening blood tests – as determined by your pet’s age and health needs
A current weight is obtained at every visit in order to refill monthly heartworm prevention medication and flea and tick preventative as well as to monitor that your pet remains at his/her healthiest weight.
We are happy to work with you to develop a wellness plan that best meets your pets health needs!
